If you’re skilled, compassionate, and ready to make an impact, we want you on our team.Essential FunctionsAs a Respiratory Therapist, you’ll provide essential cardiopulmonary care in an inpatient hospital setting while working closely with physicians and the healthcare team.Perform cardiopulmonary evaluations and deliver respiratory therapy treatmentsSet up, operate, and maintain oxygen therapy and inhalation equipmentAdminister therapies including aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, and incentive spirometryManage BiPAP/CPAP therapy and airway carePerform arterial blood gas draws and pulmonary function testingConduct EKGs and six-minute walk testsAssist with pulmonary rehabilitation programsRespond to emergencies, including performing CPRMaintain accurate patient documentation in electronic health recordsClean, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory equipmentProvide education to patients, families, and staffParticipate in quality assurance and follow all safety and infection control protocolsSkillsStrong clinical knowledge in respiratory care and cardiopulmonary proceduresExcellent communication and patient care skillsAbility to stay calm and think critically in high-pressure situationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsTeam-oriented with the ability to work independently when neededCompetenciesRadial artery blood gas.Acapella Chest Physiotherapy.Pulmonary Rehabilitation/Pulmonary Function.Mechanical Ventilation.Pulmonary Function Testing.Home Sleep Study.QualificationsAssociate Degree in Respiratory Therapy (CoARC accredited)RRT or CRT credential (required)Active West Virginia Respiratory Care LicensePediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferredMinimum of 6 months direct patient care experience (preferred)Cardiopulmonary experience (preferred)Physical RequirementsThis is an active, hands-on clinical role.
