Details Acute care hospital setting on a newly established Med/Surg Tele unit Patient ratio of 1:6 Bedside monitors with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse ox capability Night shift, 3x12 hours (6:45p-7:15a) Every other weekend required No on-call responsibilities Floating within scope required to meet facility needs Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active SC RN license or compact license in hand prior to start Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only) Minimum 2 years of experience required Required experience in MS/Tele, telemetry, and interpretation of dysrhythmias Community hospital experience preferred Epic charting experience preferred Driver's license and SSN required for consideration Additional Information Provide cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management for Med/Surg patients Responsibilities include isolation precautions/PPE, respiratory care, oxygen administration, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line management Support renal failure patient care as needed Unit charge coverage is split between stepdown and 3 West No off-shift management on-site, but leadership is available by phone during off hours 24/7 house supervisor coverage provided Royal blue scrub color required No cost parking available First-time travelers considered Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed Local candidates accepted, though non-local candidates are prioritized Must reside outside a 60-mile radius to qualify for standard travel rate; local candidates considered at a reduced rate Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a travel employee Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September) American Traveler Job ID P-747030.
