We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, software development lifecycles, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional team leadership. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate with clients and internal teams, mitigate risks, and ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of software development projects from initiation through implementation and delivery.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including software developers, QA engineers, business analysts, architects, and external vendors.
• Collaborate with clients and project sponsors to gather, validate, and document business and technical requirements.
• Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with organizational project management methodologies, governance standards, and security requirements.
• Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement effective mitigation plans.
• Facilitate project status meetings and provide regular progress reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage project changes, scope adjustments, and schedule updates while maintaining stakeholder alignment.
• Coach and mentor junior project managers and team members on project management best practices.
• Drive continuous process improvements and promote effective project management methodologies.
• Ensure successful project acceptance, deployment, and transition to production support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Geoscience, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience managing software development or IT projects.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience managing cross-functional technical teams and multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience working directly with clients and executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or similar project management certification.
• Experience with enterprise software implementations.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
• Experience working in large enterprise or global environments.
• Knowledge of software quality assurance, security, and compliance practices.
