STR MGMT/FRONT END DEPT LEADER

Job Description Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Achieve front‑end performance goals and best practices. Drive the department toward sales and profit goals while monitoring quality assurance standards. Supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the front‑end department, including day‑to‑day operations, execution of best practices, and adherence to company core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Responsibilities Promote trust and respect among associates. Communicate company and job‑specific information to associates. Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to achieve company/store goals. Create an environment that welcomes customers, addressing product questions and making suggestions. Maintain product knowledge for all department items and provide accurate information. Monitor and control departmental supply expenses. Manage cash control, sales records, and cash items for the store. Schedule front‑end associates to ensure adequate coverage. Assist store management in preparing the department budget, profit and loss reviews, and taking appropriate action on financial reports. Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve desired results. Recruit, hire, and onboard entry‑level store associates. Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special advertisements. Monitor and control department expenses. Maintain awareness of inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies. Schedule daily, weekly, and monthly price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signs. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines. Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures and identifying unsafe conditions. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and report needed repairs. Report customer or employee accidents to management. Report safety risks, illegal activity, robbery, theft, or fraud. Oversee and manage efficient operations of all front‑end functions. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines. Supervise and coach direct reports, complete performance reviews, and provide feedback. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications Minimum Effective communication skills. Basic math knowledge (counting, addition, and subtraction). Ability to handle stressful situations. Retail or customer‑service experience. Desired High school diploma or equivalent. Management experience. Second language proficiency (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
