Burn Table Operator

The Burn Table Operator is responsible for the setup and operation of a CNC Plasma Table, to cut sheets of steel into predetermined parts of various sizes. Duties/Responsibilities: Program the automatic operation of the plasma table to cut parts according to specifications and inspect the finished parts for accuracy and quality. Observe operation and periodically verify conformance of parts to process sheet, specifications and blueprint data Maintain the cleanliness of work area including all equipment and machinery Use overhead crane to load/unload material Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) Other duties as required and/or assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Positive, team-oriented attitude. Blueprint reading skills and ability to read a tape measure. Proficient in shop mathematics and layout techniques. Basic written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of hand tools such as grinders. Works well with others. The ability to operate overhead cranes The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues The ability to meet production, safety, and quality standards in a high-paced working environment Wear required personal protective equipment and follow facility safety regulations Maintain a safe and productive working environment Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED. 1 year previous experience setting up and running CNC machinery 1 year of previous experience with overhead crane operations Prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with most frequent lift up to 20 pounds EOE SALARY: $24.00-$33.00/hour BENEFITS: Eligibility to participate in the company incentive bonus program, subject to the terms and conditions specified in the incentive bonus plan document.
