This role is responsible for coordinating care, educating patients and families, reducing barriers to treatment, and serving as a consistent clinical resource throughout the oncology journey.This position is ideal for an experienced oncology nurse who is highly organized, compassionate, and comfortable collaborating across specialties to help patients access timely, appropriate cancer care.**Responsibilities:*** Serve as a primary point of contact for newly diagnosed oncology patients throughout treatment planning and care coordination* Assess patient needs, including clinical, emotional, financial, transportation, and other access-related barriers* Coordinate multidisciplinary care planning and support communication of treatment recommendations to patients and families* Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, side effect management, and supportive care resources* Facilitate scheduling for consultations, imaging, surgery, infusion appointments, and follow-up care* Connect patients with social work, financial counseling, genetic counseling, and community support resources* Track navigation metrics, including time-to-treatment, patient satisfaction, and program outcomes* Collaborate with oncology providers, surgeons, radiation therapy, palliative care, and support teams across the care continuum* Support clinical trial screening and enrollment coordination for eligible patients* Assist with survivorship care planning and transition patients to appropriate long-term follow-up pathways* Support patient education programs, support group coordination, and oncology-related outreach initiatives* Monitor treatment adherence and follow up with patients who miss appointments or experience care delays* Support cancer registry needs and accreditation-related documentation requirements* Participate in oncology quality improvement initiatives and program development efforts**Qualifications:*** Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred* Minimum of 3 years of oncology nursing experience required* Experience in acute care, ambulatory oncology, infusion, or oncology clinic settings preferred* Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification required or must be obtained within 12 months* Knowledge of oncology treatment protocols, NCCN guidelines, and clinical trial processes preferred* Experience with oncology-specific EHR tools or cancer registry reporting preferred* Strong care coordination, patient education, and interdisciplinary communication skills* Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong organizational skills**Schedule:*** Full-time, onsite position* Standard business hours* Standard full-time hours per pay period**Salary Range:** The salary range for this position is approximately $78,000 – $95,000 annually ($37.50 – $45.67 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
