Registered Nurse (RN) - Night and Day Shifts

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12-hour shifts, alternating between nights (19:00 - 07:00) and days (07:00 - 19:00).

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive care for patients in a medical/surgical unit. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 6 patients per nurse, ensuring high-quality care is maintained with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and manage care for diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
• Provide wound care and management, including wound vacs and surgical drains.
• Manage patient education and support discharge planning.
• Observing and managing patient conditions, including vital signs and overall well-being.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active PA or Compact RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system required.
• Previous charge experience and patient management skills are preferred.
