Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesist

Position Overview Cone Health, a not-for-profit health care network serving the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical, obstetric, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other members of the perioperative team. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive pre‑anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans. Administer all forms of anesthesia and analgesia, and monitor patients’ physiologic status throughout procedures. Oversee post‑anesthesia recovery and pain management, managing airway and hemodynamic stability and responding promptly to changes in patient condition. Follow evidence‑based protocols, policies, and clinical pathways to optimize outcomes. Participate in preoperative patient education, obtain informed consent within the collaborative practice model, and document care accurately in the electronic medical record. Communicate clearly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and support staff. Assist in emergency airway management and resuscitation across perioperative and procedural areas. Support enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) and other quality initiatives that advance innovative, patient‑centered anesthesia practice. Professional Development & Quality Improvement Engage in continuous professional development by maintaining required certifications, participating in morbidity and mortality reviews and quality improvement activities, and integrating the latest clinical research and guidelines into daily practice.
