Counter Lead - HVAC Products Carrier Enterprise, a leading national distributor of residential and light commercial HVAC products, seeks a dedicated Counter Lead to oversee day‑to‑day operations within a physical store, mentor Counter Sales and Warehouse Associates, and maintain customer relationships. Job Summary Counter Leads manage branch operations, mentor staff, oversee inventory, participate in hiring, and manage opening/closing duties. The role includes performance‑based bonuses and incentives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Partner with Branch Sales Manager to lead daily branch operations. Provide mentorship to Counter Sales and Warehouse Associates ensuring compliance with company policies. Assist with product inventory and restocking. Offer solutions and technical expertise to customers. Answer phone calls and manage branch communications. Maintain physical location in accordance with EH&S and operational policies. Take ownership of store sales and margin goals, providing insight to meet P&L targets. Collaborate with internal departments impacting sales and profitability. Occasional travel for training, development, and meetings. Qualifications Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail store environment. Preferred 3–5 years of HVAC or similar industry experience. Proficiency with Microsoft applications. Strong customer‑service focus. Sales‑driven with leadership and motivational skills. Preferred prior Forklift certification. Requirements High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred. 1–3 years proven sales associate experience.
