Production Line Operator

What a Day Looks LikeYou clock in, pull on your PPE, and start with a safety walk. Any concern you see gets escalated immediately to your supervisor or the safety team. With the line humming, you move between pre- and post-processing equipment for glass production, following established procedures that keep quality high and customers happy.Raw materials are staged and ready because you’ve supplied the line ahead of time. When inventory runs low, you hop on a stand-up or sit-down forklift and replenish safely and efficiently. At set intervals, you perform quality checks exactly as the procedures specify—if anything looks off, you troubleshoot the line or the product to get back to spec.Mid-shift, you join a quick Kaizen huddle. You share an idea to remove wasted motion, or you help lead a small improvement activity. Your area reflects strong 5S discipline—tools in their homes, floors clean, visuals clear—so problems stand out fast. A minor maintenance task pops up, and you take care of it to keep the line moving.As the product mix changes, you participate in the job change process to set the line up for the next run. Throughout the day, you demonstrate the AGC Way in how you work with teammates, manage quality, and approach continuous improvement. And when priorities shift, you take on other duties or projects as assigned.What You’ll Be Responsible ForProtecting your safety and that of others; reporting all safety concerns to your supervisor or the safety teamOperating pre- or post-processing equipment per production procedures to manufacture glass products that meet quality standards and satisfy customersSupplying the line with required raw materialsOperating stand-up and sit-down forklifts safely and efficientlyCompleting periodic quality checks in line with documented proceduresTroubleshooting line or product quality issuesParticipating in or leading Kaizen activities to drive continuous improvementMaintaining 5S standards, including cleanliness and correct tool placementPerforming minor equipment maintenanceTaking part in job changes (changeovers)Demonstrating the AGC Way in all responsibilitiesHandling other duties or projects as assignedQualificationsHigh School diploma or GED required3–5+ years of factory experienceSchedule3-2-2 schedule with 12-hour shifts. #J-18808-Ljbffr
