Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Nights: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation with core staff | Candidates must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 32-bed ICU (licensed for 40) organized in pods of 8, maintaining a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage complex patient populations including neuro, cardiac, PCI, sepsis, ETOH, stroke, TBI, and patients requiring Camino ICP monitoring and ventricular management
• Independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips; no monitor techs on unit
• Administer and manage critical drips including pressors, antiarrhythmics, and sedation; manage ventilated patients
• Conduct huddle report and bedside report as part of standard handoff protocol
• Float as needed to Telemetry and ED ICU/Tele hold areas

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in California
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• No acrylic nails or gel polish permitted during assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience preferred
• Experience with ventilator management and critical drip titration
• Familiarity with neuro monitoring, including ICP monitoring and TBI patient care
• Experience with high-acuity cardiac patients including PCI and antiarrhythmic management
