Engineering Leader
Responsibilities
The Engineering Leader is responsible for overseeing and developing the New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering organization while providing strategic and technical leadership across engineering functions. This role manages engineering services, ensures alignment with customer and business requirements, drives process standardization, accelerates continuous improvement, and develops technical talent. The Engineering Leader is accountable for advancing manufacturing capabilities, strengthening cross-functional coordination, and ensuring successful execution of high-impact engineering initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities
Manage and direct New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives to ensure products are developed on time, within budget, and according to scope and standards.
Partner with customers to strengthen technical capabilities and deliver design benefits aligned with customer performance needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional groups to advance technical capabilities, reduce manufacturing costs, and support strategic innovation.
Serve as a liaison between tooling suppliers, core suppliers, and manufacturing operations for NPI projects.
Provide project support and leadership in partnership with Program Management.
Work with engineering, NPI leadership, and Sales to ensure quotes reflect accurate cost estimates (material, scrap, labor).
Lead and participate in run-at-rate analyses, assess required technological advancements, and support capital planning and implementation.
Report NPI program progress to leadership and business unit stakeholders.
Manage monthly revenue targets associated with NPI.
Drive yield optimization, cost reduction projects, and process improvements.
Coordinate manufacturing improvement efforts and scrap reduction initiatives with technical staff.
Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering teams across all facilities.
Foster an engaged, high-performing engineering team environment.
Manage development strategies and training initiatives for engineering staff.
Partner with production engineering leaders to align technical leadership with engineering development needs.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Manufacturing Engineering
7+ years of engineering experience, including new product launch experience
5+ years of supervisory or management experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving ability
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project-related tools
Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
Preferred Qualifications
Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret financial data
Working knowledge of investment casting processes, customer specifications, and quality systems
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional product teams
