Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients, ensuring their treatment plans are effectively implemented and patient comfort is maintained. The role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality med-surg oncology services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans for oncology patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders while monitoring for adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
• Document patient progress and communicate updates to healthcare professionals accurately.
• Adhere to all licensing, safety, and confidentiality protocols, including submission of unexpired driver's licenses as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid and unexpired RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in med-surg oncology nursing.
• Strong knowledge of oncology medication administration and patient assessment.
• Ability to work within a 50-mile radius per job requirements.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
