Finance Manager - Merchandising

Own financial support for Nordstrom Merchandising Group’s brand partnerships strategy and operations Build financial modeling to support emerging business ventures and partnerships Develop reporting on operations and monthly/quarterly results Build and maintain brand and business partner relationships Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional partners on business case objectives and financial modeling for brand negotiations Discuss tradeoffs, benefits, and prioritization of approaches with leaders Identify metrics and build reports to measure performance against objectives Partner with senior leaders to anticipate business challenges and opportunities Develop financial models for evolving long-term strategies Participate in strategic merchandising and financial plans Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects Synthesize and clearly communicate findings to support executive-level decisions Complete individual assignments and support team responsibilities and goals Requirements 5+ years of experience in finance with scope and accountability progression Proven experience in analysis, modeling, and reporting financial performance Ability to build strong relationships with peers, business partners, and senior leadership Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint abilities Storytelling experience with strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and timelines Attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy Experience with Tableau and SQL a plus Retail industry experience a plus Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting to support brand partnerships and strategic operations.
