The University will not sponsor applicants for work visas (e.g., H-1B).Job SummaryThe piano technician manages the School of Music's fleet of keyboard instruments including routine tuning, maintenance, and repair. The technician assists with inventory as needed, including advising the Director of the School of Music on piano purchases and on when pianos should be retired from the fleet. They voice and regulate our performance pianos to the satisfaction of faculty and guest artists.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesPiano tuningPiano maintenancePiano repairPiano voicing and regulationInventory and assessment of piano fleet, including recommendations for the purchase of new instruments and retirement of old instrumentsSupervising the moving of keyboard instruments on and off campusOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.
