Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel contract requiring ARRT certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Hospital-based MRI department serving geriatric, pediatric, and general patient populations
• Performs diagnostic MRI procedures including building and using imaging protocols
• 3x13 hour day shifts on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Variable shifts may be required based on census
• Holiday coverage is provided via on-call and candidates may be asked to assist

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience required
• Active ARRT registration required (RT, M, R, or MRI)
• Current BLS/BCLS required
• Associate's Degree or Certificate from a two-year college, university, or certificate-based program required
• Influenza vaccination required per State of Maine mandate unless a medical exemption is provided and approved
• State license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Screens patients for MRI contraindications and follows ACR and facility safety protocols
• Educates patients on MRI procedures, explains safety requirements, and ensures removal of hazardous metal objects prior to scanning
• Monitors patients visually and verbally throughout procedures
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and reports on equipment status
• Assists with inventory monitoring as needed
