QA Analyst/Test Script Writer

Credence is seeking a mid-level QA Analyst/Test Script Writer to join our DLA team. This role requires test execution for mission critical systems and the ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into accurate, properly formatted manual test scripts that cover system requirements comprehensively. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, and a testing team to validate business requirements, identify defects, and ensure timely resolution before deployment. The QA Analyst will be a team member in the testing strategy and implementation of all forms of testing to include functional, integration, performance, regression and security. This position is based in Credence's corporate offices located in Tyson's Corner, VA. Responsibilities: Develop clear, concise, and logically structured manual test scripts that can be understood and executed by users regardless of their technical knowledge or familiarity with the system. Clearly document prerequisites, test data, user roles, navigation steps, expected results, and pass/fail criteria. Maintain document control within SharePoint and Microsoft Word Execute manual test scripts, document results, capture evidence, and report bugs with clear reproduction steps. Act as a member of a project team responsible for testing requirements and providing technical guidance concerning the testing strategy, implementation in unit and performance/regression testing of the application Maintain traceability between requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and defects. Contribute to the performance of functional, regression, integration, performance, and compliance testing Follow testing strategy and processes, work with tester team members, and contribute to process improvement Log, track, and retest bugs and defects in Jira Collaborate with developers to clarify issues, troubleshoot, and verify fixes Design and execute IT software tests and evaluating results to ensure compliance with applicable regulations Design and prepare all required test data Review test results and evaluate for conformance to design Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders Contribute to user tester guides for various testing audiences Be able to work independently and as part of a team, working closely with development teams, DevOps, UI/UX designers, and business analysts Join a team where innovation meets mission. Actual compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, education, certifications, skills, and overall qualifications.
