Carilion Clinic is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the team at Carilion Family Medicine Starkey Road. This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) who enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and providing high-quality, comprehensive primary care.

As an APP at Carilion Family Medicine Starkey Road, you will work collaboratively with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other members of the care team to provide patient-centered care across the lifespan. The role offers the opportunity to practice with a high degree of autonomy while benefiting from the resources and support of Carilion Clinic's integrated health system.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary and preventive care to patients.
• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health conditions.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing.
• Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans.
• Educate patients and families about disease prevention, wellness, medications, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, specialists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and support quality and patient-safety initiatives.
• Help create an exceptional experience for patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to collaborative, team-based, patient-centered care.
• Primary care or family medicine experience is preferred; qualified candidates with a strong interest in family medicine are encouraged to apply.
