General Pediatrician with Gastroenterology Focus

General Pediatrician with Gastroenterology Focus , Columbia, SC Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, is seeking a BC/BE General Pediatrician to provide comprehensive pediatric care within a Pediatric Gastroenterology (PGI) practice. This role includes delivering both general pediatric and GI-focused care while working collaboratively with pediatric gastroenterologists and advanced practice clinicians to evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of common and complex gastrointestinal conditions in children. The position also includes maintaining dedicated time in the general pediatric resident clinic. Details: Evaluates and manages common pediatric GI conditions with progressive exposure to more complex disorders. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, develops evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with Pediatric GI physicians, and contributes to clinic operations and quality improvement initiatives. Delivers longitudinal care with appropriate follow-up and coordination across subspecialists, primary care, and allied health professionals. Participates in inpatient and after-hours coverage, including weekend and "mommy call" rotations, with GI attending support for clinical guidance. As School of Medicine faculty, will teach residents, medical students, and advanced practice clinicians.
