Job Summary and Qualifications

Provide evidence-based information and education to inpatient and outpatient breastfeeding mothers.

•  Support practices that promote breastfeeding
•  Provide comprehensive mother/baby feeding assessments and feeding plans using current and approved techniques and devices that safely support breastfeeding.
•  Provide information on community resources.
•  Participate, as needed, in the weekly mother’s support group, the monthly prenatal breastfeeding classes, and staff education.

What qualifications you will need:

• Active NH Registered Nurse license or compact state Registered Nurse license
• Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 or more years of related experience
• International Board of Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
