Computed Tomography Technologist - Full Time

CT Technologist Position

We're seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a permanent role in Cedar Rapids, IA at a hospital. You will be responsible for accurately following physician scanning instructions, administering contrast materials per protocol, and operating CT equipment while maintaining regulatory and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current ARRT certification as a Radiographer. [REQUIRED]
• Current permit issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health. [REQUIRED]
• Completion of a JRCERT-accredited program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent education.
• BLS certification.
• Clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• Training and competency in CT modality and CT-specific safety education (annual CT and fluoroscopic safety education preferred).
• Experience with contrast administration and power injector use.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated communication skills, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Familiarity with imaging and departmental computer systems is desirable.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform CT exams consistent with protocols and radiologist consultation, ensuring procedural accuracy and timely turnaround.
• Support imaging safety initiatives, including ALARA principles and Imaging Gently guidelines.
• Administer and document contrast agents and appropriate flow rates using power injectors.
• Ensure correct patient identification, history documentation, imaging labeling, and pregnancy screening when applicable.
• Use patient communication techniques such as AIDET for all interactions.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, report malfunctions, and participate in quality control activities.
• Comply with regulatory requirements (IDPH, ACR, TJC) and wear radiation monitoring badge.
• Provide support for student clinical instruction when needed and follow student supervision policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental goals and workflow.
