Job Overview RN-Registered Nurse // Telemetry Onsite Contract Starts 8/31/2026. 13‑Week contract. Night Shift 12 hours/day, 3 days per week. Unit: Med‑Surg Cardiac Medical Unit (Dept 61506) located at Catholic Medical Center, 100 McGregor St., 03102, Floor F200, general building. 23 beds, 1 treatment room, staffed by 6 RNs, 2 PCTs, 1 MT on night shift, 5 RNs, 2 PCTs, 1 MT on day shift, along with a charge nurse and department coordinator. Patient population: hemodynamically stable MI, acute/chronic heart failure, new‑onset Afib, procedural patients (cardiac caths, ablations, cardioversions, ICDs, pacers), medication drips (Amio, Diltiazem, Dopa, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Lasix, insulin), ICU transfers, neuro (CVA), pulmonary patients on BiPAP, Hi‑flow, and Salter. Equipment: telemetry monitoring, hard‑wired rooms, vein finder for IV therapy, portable pulse oximetry, continuous oximetry, manual/automatic vitals machine, blood glucose, mechanical lifts, dopplers, all software for medication scanning and EMR. Schedule: Every other weekend and on‑call as required. Floating area: within similar units. Dress code: hospital scrubs. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on the Med‑Surg Cardiac Medical Unit, managing telemetry monitoring and responding to cardiac emergencies. Perform routine and procedural activities such as cardiac caths (left/right, femoral/radial), pacer and ablation placements, cardioversions, EP studies, and medication drips. Document patient status, vitals, and interventions. Participate in shift handoffs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with valid state license. ACLS certification required. Cardiac telemetry knowledge and experience. Experience with cardiac medical procedures (caths, ablations, cardioversions) and cardiac medication drips. Strong medical‑surgical background with telemetry. Ability to work night shifts and flexible schedule (every other weekend, on‑call). Team‑oriented, flexible/adaptable, patient‑centered personality. Additional Requirements Floating within similar areas. Dress code: hospital scrubs.
