Overview This position is for a Sleep Medicine Physician seeking to establish or transition to an independently operated medical practice with MedCBO’s administrative infrastructure. The physician will own and operate the practice entity, while MedCBO delivers non‑clinical business and operational support services. Physician Responsibilities Provide sleep medicine care within the physician’s scope of practice. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate with MedCBO for payer credentialing and other non‑clinical functions as required. Determine clinical services offered and manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination Billing and collections management Payer contract negotiation Financial infrastructure and reporting Operational workflows and staffing systems Technology platform and implementation Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted, in‑good‑standing license in the intended state of practice. Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided. Eligibility for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice ownership model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership in a community‑based setting. Leadership or program development experience. Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is not a salary and is generated by the physician‑owned practice.
