Job Description

The Payment Sales Consultant is responsible for managing and developing new and existing Payments, Commercial Card, and Treasury Management relationships within the Energy sector. The role focuses on supporting some of the industry's most complex and capital-intensive organizations, helping clients optimize liquidity, streamline payment operations, enhance working capital, and support strategic growth initiatives.

As the Energy industry continues to evolve through changing market conditions, infrastructure investment, energy transition initiatives, and increasing capital demands, clients are seeking strategic financial partners that can deliver comprehensive treasury and payment solutions. This role requires proven enterprise sales experience and the ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles across multiple buying centers, including CFOs, Treasurers, Assistant Treasurers, Controllers, Procurement leaders, and Shared Services organizations.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• 10 or more years of related experience
• Demonstrated enterprise sales experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles with multiple decision-makers and buying centers

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Strong preference working in the energy industry
• Required minimum five years of related payments sale
• Extensive knowledge of treasury management products
• Thorough knowledge of the organization and its products, services, and operations
• Proven ability to navigate complex sales engagements across multiple buying centers, including Payments Partnerships, CFO, Treasurer, and Cash Manager
• Experience selling into gaming and technology industries
• Ability to quarterback across Merchant Services, Commercial Cards, and Treasury Services to deliver integrated client solutions
• Strong sales and new business development skills
• Excellent customer service/relations skills
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to travel to meet with clients and bank partners 25% plus annually

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $147,420.00 - 180,180.00
