Ad-Vance Talent Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Fiscal Specialist to support the Water Treatment Plant during a temporary employee leave. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong bookkeeping and fiscal experience who enjoys working in a professional government environment. The selected candidate will receive hands-on training with the current employee before the leave begins, allowing for a smooth transition into the role.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
• 30-minute unpaid lunch

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll provide fiscal and administrative support while helping ensure the accurate management of financial records and transactions. Responsibilities include:

• Maintain fiscal records and financial documentation
• Apply bookkeeping, budgeting, auditing, and recordkeeping practices
• Review and categorize expenditures for compliance with federal, state, local, and contract requirements
• Monitor revenues and expenditures and report discrepancies or budget concerns
• Prepare financial reports as required
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Assist with procurement activities
• Issue purchase and release orders
• Receive and process purchase orders
• Process purchasing card (P-Card) transactions
• Perform other related fiscal and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of three years of fiscal, bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience
• Equivalent combinations of post-secondary education, training, and experience will be considered
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
• Experience in a government or public-sector environment is a plus
