ERSEA Specialist

Position Description: The part-time (19 hours/week) ERSEA Specialist supports the eligibility, recruitment, enrollment, selection and attendance area of the EHS Program by participating in enrollment and recruitment activities, in coordination with the ERSEA Specialist Lead. Responsibilities: Tracks and inputs enrollment, eligibility, and attendance into the electronic information system.Performs eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance (ERSEA) duties.Assists the ERSEA Specialist Lead in implementing recruitment plans in the community to identify and target low income families in service areas.Conducts presentations to orient families, pregnant women, and the community to the purpose of Early Head Start services, activities, and Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS).Assists the Coordinator with contacting referred families to inform them of Early Head Start services and conducts application appointments with interested families.Assists the Coordinator and ERSEA Specialist Lead with identifying family needs for prioritization and selection into the program.Supports recruitment opportunities by participating in activities and networking with assigned community agencies, which results in five viable applications each week.Participates in annual recruitment events in the community, including Care Fair and Urban Indian Outreach, and additional events as assigned by the Coordinator and in coordination with the ERSEA Specialist Lead.Meets regularly with the Coordinator and ERSEA Specialist Lead to monitor data and trends of enrolled families.Identifies the needs of EHS applicants and collaborates with the Coordinator and ERSEA Specialist Lead in providing referrals to community agencies.Collaborates with the Coordinator on referrals to Early Intervention.Ensures that the needs of all program participants are addressed with respect for each familys language and ethnicity.Collaborates with related EHS components to ensure appropriate service delivery for each program participant.Possesses understanding and knowledge of participant needs and seeks consultation from other EHS components when appropriate.Participates in staff in-service training, serves on committees, and attends workshops and conferences as requested or approved.Attends team meetings as necessary and all mandatory DDI Vantage meetings.Demonstrates professionalism and protects the confidentiality of all clients.Completes written documentation in a timely manner to ensure program compliance.Fulfills other duties as assigned.
