GENERAL ASSIGNMENTS
The Grounds Keeper and Maintenance Assistant would be primarily focused on the upkeep of the outside of the building as needed. Along with grounds keeping, .this person would be assisting our Maintenance Supervisor in whatever capacity is needed, both inside and outside of the building.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
· Establish and maintain a good working relationship with staff, members, residents, drivers and vendors.
Mow all grass areas of Lincoln Hill Retirement Community and Lincoln Hill Apartments.
· Blowing and sweeping leaves and debris from parking lot.
· Pruning bushes and trees as needed.
Weeding gardens as needed.
· Outside window washing along with Maintenance Supervisor - Hydraulic Lift is used.
· Winter de-icing of parking lot as needed.
· Assist Maintenance Supervisor as needed.
· Special event set up and tear down as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work alone and stay on task.
- Light maintenance and cleaning skills.
- Painting experience preferred.
- Hydraulic lift experience preferred, not required.
- Ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds and lifestyles (ie older adults, minorities, and disabled).
- Ability to respond to multiple demands in a courteous and effective manner.
- Must pass drug screening including marijuana & opioid.
- Must pass a background check.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent standing, walking and sitting.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Driving a manual transmission vehicle may be necessary.
