Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a 14-week assignment in Alameda, California . The ideal candidate will assist Occupational Therapists in providing treatment plans that help patients improve daily living skills, regain independence, and enhance overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Help patients improve mobility, coordination, strength, and daily living skills.
• Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient goals.
• Ensure a safe and positive therapeutic environment for patients.

Requirements

• Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license/certification required.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current BLS certification preferred.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or acute care settings preferred.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
