Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Wisconsin-licensed Nurse Practitioners for a locum tenens opportunity in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing emergency medicine coverage in a community-based ED/UC setting with a diverse patient population and collaborative support services.

Opportunity Highlights

• Emergency Medicine locum tenens position
  
• Location: Madison, Wisconsin
  
• Coverage dates: 7/6, 7/8, 7/9, 7/10, 7/11, 7/14, 7/22, 7/30, and ongoing
  
• Shifts: 9 am - 9 pm and 11 am - 11 pm
  
• Approximately 8-12 shifts per month
  
• Patient volume: approximately 40-60 patients in a 24-hour period
  
• Access to Telestroke and Tele ICU services
  
• On-site helicopter support
  
• Nearby tourist and outdoor recreation areas
  

Schedule Details

• Shifts: 9 am - 9 pm on specified dates; additional 11 am - 11 pm shifts
  
• Ongoing coverage as needed
  

Clinical Scope

• Evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of emergency patients
  
• Management of trauma, acute illnesses, and procedural needs
  
• Collaboration with hospitalist team, Telestroke, and Tele ICU services
  
• Disposition decisions including transfers and discharges
  
• Documentation within the EMR system
  

Practice Environment

This opportunity is based within a community hospital ED/UC in Madison, Wisconsin. The setting supports a high patient volume with integrated Telestroke and Tele ICU services, providing a broad scope of emergency care in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin state license as a Nurse Practitioner
  
• NP certification in emergency medicine or related specialty
  
• BLS and ACLS certifications
  
• Prior urgent/emergency care experience preferred
