Court Clerk Supervisor

Job Summary This position provides assistance to Court Clerks and support to managers to maintain the operations and services of the Scottsdale City court. The incumbent conducts a wide variety of specialized duties in a leadership role, addresses complex issues, and handles escalated customer complaints while supervising the daily operations of Court Clerks and team tasks. The position relies on computers and technology as the court is fileless and does not maintain paper files. The incumbent may serve on all four operational teams (Public Service, Financial Services, Court Support, and Courtroom Operations) during the tenure with the court. Education and Experience High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent. Four years’ experience as a Court Clerk or two years’ experience as a Court Clerk with Scottsdale City Court and a combination of two years of job‑related experience in a lead capacity. Minimum one year of Lead or Supervisory experience. Any equivalent combination of education and/or job‑related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted. Licensing, Certifications, and Other Requirements Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during the active employment period. Completion of the Scottsdale University self‑paced computer‑based Supervisor Training within one year of hire, with triennial revision. Completion of the Arizona Court Supervisor (ACS) certification within three years.
