Budget Analyst

Brief Description SABG is hiring a Budget Analyst to support the FBI FPSS in Huntsville, AL. This position focuses on financial analysis, budget tracking, funding reconciliation, and project cost analysis. Responsibilities also include maintaining financial controls, supporting audits, and analyzing financial data to support project management and decision-making. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze data from financial reporting systems, Track funding through the entire life of a project and reconcile all available balances. Support all financial management project governance practices by ensuring internal controls are met Provide support for any financial audits that may arise. Provide financial analyses for projects. SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Education And Experience Bachelor’s Degree one (1) year of experience in finance, consulting, construction, or project management Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to process large quantities of information to evaluate costs, benefits, and project outcomes. Demonstrate the ability to analyze and solve problems while being able to clearly articulate complex ideas and communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to solve complicated math problems as the job entails the disaggregation of data to form recommendations for a project to run effectively. Work with and understand spreadsheets, financial analysis programs and database functions. Ability to articulate financial plans in writing to Senior Leadership Computer Skills Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
