Hiring: Mechanical Technician II
Stony Point, NY | Full-Time | Direct Hire

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician II to support the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of gas transmission facilities. This is a hands-on field role for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and solving technical problems.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair station equipment and mechanical systems.
• Support air and air dryer systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, gas compressors, and prime movers .
• Identify and report abnormal operating conditions.
• Complete maintenance records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Follow SOPs, O&M manuals, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with operations, maintenance teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Support additional activities involving equipment operation, measurement, telecommunications, electrical controls, and related maintenance.

✅ What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of related mechanical maintenance experience and/or training.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices and company safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic proficiency with computer and office applications.
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain driving privileges.

⭐ Preferred Experience

• Pipeline, compressor station, or industrial mechanical equipment.
• Gas transmission operations and maintenance.
• Rotating equipment, compressors, Caterpillar high-speed engine compressors, cooling systems, fuel systems, and auxiliary station equipment.
• Pipeline/energy regulatory compliance.
• A willingness to continue developing technical expertise within the Mechanical Technician career path.

Working Conditions

• Primarily field-based, including outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. , climb ladders, kneel, reach, and work on uneven terrain around industrial equipment.
• Overtime, weekends, shift schedules, on-call/standby assignments, and overnight travel may be required.
• Must reside or be willing to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location .
• Safety Critical and Safety Sensitive position requiring strict adherence to safety policies.
