Staff Accountant

About the Position: The staff accountant will work closely and support the CFO. The position will be tasked with responsibilities in accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax filings and helping maintain accurate financial data. Our ideal candidate is a detail oriented, ability to problem solve, strong analytical skills, organized professional with a background in accounting. This position will play a key role in maintaining accurate and organized financial data. Location: Candidate must be located in the Kansas City, MO metro area. Responsibilities: General ledger maintenance: Recording and updating transactions in the general ledger to maintain accurate financial data. Bank statement reconciliation: Comparing bank statements to company records to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting. Accounts payable/receivable management: Processing invoices, managing payments to vendors, and collecting customer payments. Financial reporting: Preparing financial statements like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Journal entry preparation: Recording accounting transactions through journal entries. Sales Tax filing: Preparing and filing state sales tax returns. Audit assistance: Supporting external auditors by providing necessary documentation and information. Compliance with regulations: Ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations. Bachelor’s/ Associate's degree in accounting Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, primarily Excel 401(k) with company match. #J-18808-Ljbffr
