Role: Clinical Pharmacist
Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547
Job Type: Permanent / Contingent
Department: Pharmacy
Schedule: Days – 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Shift: 4 × 10-hour shifts
Weekends: Every 3rd weekend
Holidays: 1 summer holiday + 1 winter holiday
Pay: $52–$64/hour
Relocation: Case-by-case
Position Overview
We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmacy services in an acute-care hospital setting. The pharmacist will be responsible for medication order review, dispensing, clinical monitoring, medication therapy management, and supporting pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities
- Interpret, verify, and accurately process medication orders
- Compound and dispense medications
- Monitor drug therapy for interactions, allergies, contraindications, and appropriate dosing
- Support formulary management and therapeutic interchange programs
- Provide medication information to healthcare staff and patients
- Provide clinical services including:
- Drug consultations
- Nutrition support
- Pharmacokinetics
- Anticoagulation monitoring
- Pain management
- IV-to-PO conversion
- Renal dosing
- Document clinical interventions and activities
- Complete medication error and adverse drug reaction reports
- Support and supervise pharmacy operations
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy
- PGY1 completion, new graduates, or inpatient pharmacy experience highly preferred
- Minimum 1 year of hospital experience preferred
- Candidates without inpatient experience may be considered if they graduated within the last 5 years
- Long-term retail pharmacy candidates are not preferred

Reports To: Pharmacy Manager
Shift Differential: 2nd Shift $2.00/hr; 3rd Shift $4.25/hr
Extra Shift Premium: $3.00/hr
