The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing breakfast items, keeping the buffet stocked, maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area, and providing attentive service to our guests. This position requires early-morning availability, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to keep food and supplies replenished throughout the entire breakfast period. Primary Responsibilities Arrive on time and prepare the breakfast area before service begins. Prepare and display breakfast items according to hotel and brand standards. Continuously monitor the breakfast buffet and refill food, beverages, utensils, and supplies before they run out. Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive service. Maintain proper food temperatures and follow food-safety procedures. Keep serving counters, tables, chairs, floors, and food-preparation areas clean and sanitized. Remove expired or unusable food and properly rotate inventory. Monitor breakfast inventory and notify management when supplies are running low. Wash dishes, serving utensils, pans, and breakfast equipment. Break down, clean, and restock the breakfast area after service. Remove trash and maintain organized storage areas. Assist guests with questions or special requests when possible. Complete required cleaning and temperature documentation. Follow hotel, health-department, and food-handling procedures. Complete additional duties assigned by hotel management. Qualifications Previous food-service, restaurant, breakfast, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required. Friendly and professional attitude. Strong attention to cleanliness and food presentation. Ability to work efficiently without constant supervision. Ability to recognize when food or supplies need to be replenished. Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential. Must be available to begin work early in the morning. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled. Food-handler certification may be required based on applicable regulations. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift. Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to lift and carry food, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. Ability to work around hot food, warming equipment, and cleaning products.
