Branch Manager - Small Business Specialist

Our Branch Manager - Small Business Specialist is the driving force in developing and leading their team to exceed our customers' expectations and foster customer loyalty, while efficiently delivering a variety of banking services.
The Branch Manager Small Business Specialist organizes, guides, and provides vision to the staff in order to achieve branch goals and provide unique personal service. In addition, the successful candidate will develop relationship strategies and partnerships with local organizations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Motivates and trains staff to the standards and objectives of their current position, and encourages them to achieve their future goals. Completes periodic performance appraisals with clear and achievable goals, and monitors the employee's progress.
- Develops partnerships with community connections through designed business development programs and attending community events and functions.
- Recommends ideas to improve the service to our current customers, while providing an attractive alternative to prospects.
- Facilitates integrated delivery of financial services and products, including customizes lending, cash management, investment management, etc. by referring customers to the appropriate department of division.
- Originate and underwrite consumer and small business loan applications in accordance with the Bank's consumer loan and small business loan policies and procedures. Originate residential mortgage loans and home equity credit lines under the supervision of the residential mortgage department. Participates in the preparation and presentation of loan to the Loan Committees, as necessary.
- Ensures the branch has satisfactory coverage to guarantee the safety of the employees and to be available to meet all customer inquiries, concerns, and needs.
- Ensures proper upkeep and efficiency of assigned equipment and branch. Provides for routine maintenance of equipment and systems.
- Interviews prospective candidates and makes hiring recommendations.
- Provides for branch security in conformance with Bank's established security program and procedures; ensure that all security equipment is in proper working order. In accordance with the Bank Secrecy Act, ensures the branch's compliance with currency transactions reporting requirements.
- Responds to customer inquiries with a positive attitude and refers problems or concerns to appropriate person for further action as needed. Follows-up to be sure the problem has been addressed.
- Cross-sells the Bank's products and services to both valued and new customers by tailoring recommendations after exploring customer financial necessities and goals through needs based conversations.
- Maintains a quality knowledge of current products, fees, and policies and is able to provide customer education.
- Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines. Ensures employee of branch are consistent with guidelines as well.
- Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.
- Implements sales and promotional programs with creativity and energy such that goals are achieved and quality standards are met or exceeded.
- Responsible or the growth activity of the branch (i.e., consumer, small business, or both depending on market opportunity).
- Uses technology proficiently. Assists customers with technology inquiries regarding mobile and online banking applications.

The pay range provided reflects the established budget for this position and represents what the Bank reasonably expects to pay at the time of posting. The final offer will depend on various factors, including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other job-related considerations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and and/or Experience
- Associates degree level of education or its equivalent in retail management and related work and training; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Two to three years of banking experience in an Assistant Branch Manager role.
- Five plus years of retail experience with emphasis in supervising, operations, and sales, preferably in a retail or banking environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality; with tact and diplomacy.
- Prolonged standing.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
