Position Overview Part time Department: 37503 Atrium Health Lincoln - Outpatient Rehabilitation Hours per week: 24 hours (flexible days/hours) Pay Range: $33.05 - $49.60 per hour Benefits Eligible: Yes Job Description Provides patient evaluation and care planning. Delivers patient care appropriate to age‑specific and other population needs under the plan and supervision of a licensed occupational therapist (OT). Provides clinical leadership. Caseload Typically ortho/neuro focused. Certified hand therapist experience is a plus, not required. Essential Functions Assess and document patient’s medical, mental, and emotional needs at admission and on an ongoing basis. Develop and implement a plan of care to meet patient and family needs, including discharge planning and utilization of available resources. Act as patient advocate; treat patients and families with compassion and implement the plan of care safely and timely. Demonstrate clinical reasoning and clinical skills to conduct accurate assessments, perform patient care activities, evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions, and identify and prioritize patient/family strengths and needs. Identify the normal course of illness in the assigned patient population, recognizing and intervening appropriately when deviations occur. Communicate patient information and thoroughly document therapist’s actions and plan of care. Provide clinical leadership and mentoring. Physical Requirements Hearing, vision, and speech adequate for communication. Must sit, stand, and walk throughout the day. Work may involve climbing stairs, kneeling, twisting, bending, crouching, crawling, and reaching overhead. Must lift up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, with occasional transfers of up to 100 pounds. Personal protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, gowns, and masks may be required. Work is primarily indoors but occasionally outdoors. Education, Experience, and Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required. Licensed occupational therapist in the applicable state required. Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
