Actuarial Analyst at AIG Job Overview An Actuarial Analyst will develop and maintain raters for multiple commercial lines of business within the North America Rater Delivery Team in Global Pricing. The role involves working collaboratively with business actuaries, modelers, underwriters, and business leads to design and deploy rating solutions on a Python-based platform. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and improve pricing tools and raters using Python, Excel, VBA, and R. Collaborate with business actuaries, modelers, underwriters, and chief underwriting officers to implement updates and efficiencies. Test calculations and assist quality assurance by validating developers’ code logic. Support underwriters by reviewing feedback, addressing issues, and providing release notes. Assist modelers in developing and deploying predictive models in pricing tools. Use Agile planning approaches to deliver rating solutions. Qualifications B.S. in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. 2+ actuarial exams preferred; 1+ years’ experience in commercial and/or financial lines pricing preferred. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency in Excel, VBA, Python, R or other programming languages. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Effective time‑management and the ability to work independently or in a team. Responsive to service needs and operational demands. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $62,000 – $78,000 for Boston locations; $60,000 – $75,000 for Illinois locations. Eligible for an incentive bonus per company plan.
