Supplier Quality Engineer (Experienced or Senior)Company:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, AL.Position Responsibilities:Experienced Level 3Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentationProvides Quality interpretation of requirementsDevelops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirementsConducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designsAssists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readinessRecommends corrective actions to address non-conformancesPerforms benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achievedApply advanced Supplier Quality prevention tools including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Lean and Six SigmaLead cross-functional Requirements Reviews and Capability Assessments at BDS suppliersAssist with the evaluation of new technology and manufacturing process deployment readiness at suppliers. Perform special capability approvals to ensure technical readiness, capability and supplier process controls are establishedWorks under general directionSenior Level 4Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.Provides interpretation of complex requirements.Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities.Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.
