Job Description

This role supports a busy precast concrete manufacturing operation by preparing, repairing, handling, and loading concrete products for delivery between two nearby plants in Spring City, PA and Royersford, PA. You will work in a physically demanding, construction-style environment, using hand and power tools, material handling equipment, and lifting devices to ensure products meet quality standards and are safely moved and shipped.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, patch, repair, and transport precast concrete products to meet quality standards
• Load, unload, and move concrete products using yard equipment, boom trucks, loaders, and rigging
• Operate hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, and oxy/acetylene torches safely
• Perform general yard, inventory, and housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment
• Read basic instructions, blueprints, and measurements to complete assigned work accurately
• Follow all safety policies, lifting guidelines, and equipment procedures
• Perform physically demanding work in an outdoor/industrial environment

Essential Skills

• Ability to clean, prepare, and patch concrete products to quality standards
• Experience with or willingness to learn concrete labor, finishing, and patching
• Ability to safely perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 75 lbs
• Comfortable with frequent bending, climbing, overhead reaching, and prolonged standing
• Experience using hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and cutting equipment
• Basic knowledge of concrete, construction, or related labor work
• Ability to read basic blueprints, tape measures, and measurements
• Basic math skills, including fractions and unit conversions

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in high, precarious places when required.
• Comfort working around moving mechanical parts and in environments with moderate noise and occasional fumes or airborne particles.

Work Environment

The role is based at two precast concrete plants in Spring City and Royersford, PA, located about one mile apart, with movement between sites as needed. The environment is similar to an indoor construction site and can be loud, dusty, and dim, with regular exposure to heavy concrete products, cranes, loaders, and other industrial equipment. The job requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, overhead reaching, and lifting, as well as working around moving machinery and varying weather conditions. Long work pants, a t-shirt, and steel-toe boots are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SPRING CITY, PA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
