Embedded Software Engineer

Location Onsite (5 Days/Week - Client located in Foster City, CA) Work Shift Monday through Friday (8:00AM – 5:00PM PST)

Join a cross-functional team developing safety-critical automated test infrastructure for autonomous hardware systems. You’ll architect and implement embedded software, build sensor emulators, and enhance test frameworks. Job Description Develop and maintain production-quality C++ apps for embedded Linux—focused on low-latency, high-performance solutions in user and kernel space. Design Python automation frameworks and tools for streamlined testing and performance validation. Build and expand hardware/software sensor emulators; maintain test assets. Integrate embedded software with FPGA and ECU hardware using Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and CAN. Test, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and execute end-to-end V&V strategies. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s/Master’s in CS, EE, or related (4+ years relevant industry experience). Strong C++ development in low-latency, high-performance user (and ideally kernel) space. Extensive embedded Linux development (networking, system-level programming). Proficient with Python, test automation (Pytest), Git, build systems (Bazel), unit testing (GTest). Hands‑on hardware/software integration using embedded interfaces (Ethernet, I2C, SPI, CAN). Preferred Skills Yocto/Petalinux, FPGA/HDL/System Verilog, high-speed protocols (PCIe, MIPI CSI-2).
