This position reports to the Nursing Academic Manager and collaborates with the nursing faculty to identify strategies for student retention. In this position, you will also develop and host concept-based workshops to help students develop critical thinking skills and clinical judgement. The Nursing Academic Specialist is an on-site role that reports to South College, Nashville Campus, Monday - Friday with weekend and evening support as necessary. Responsibilities Support instruction, remediation, and evaluation in didactic concepts Demonstrate accurate knowledge of concepts tested by the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN exam Demonstrate professional behavior and accountability in all interactions Develop and provide student workshops and study sessions Provide 1:1 student support with nursing concepts Provide group and individual support for NCLEX prep Mentoring students Help identify strategies for increase retention Other duties as assigned Requirements Education & Licensure Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Unencumbered RN License BLS CPR Certification Experience One-year experience in an academic setting, strongly preferred Excellent communication skills via telephone, email, virtually, and in person Mastery of ATI #J-18808-Ljbffr South College of North Carolina, Inc
