Responsibilities

• Perform avionics testing and troubleshooting on civilian helicopter systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Complete new avionics system installations and execute upgrade installations on a variety of helicopter platforms.
• Build and modify wire harnesses, including crimping, routing, and terminations, to support new installations and modifications.
• Support avionics integration efforts across multiple aircraft types, ensuring systems interface correctly and function as designed.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation to perform accurate installations and repairs.
• Carry out avionics repair and maintenance tasks on aircraft electrical and electronic systems in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Perform aircraft modifications related to avionics and electrical systems, ensuring proper documentation and configuration control.
• Ensure compliance with all aviation safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including FAA requirements and internal procedures.
• Document all work performed in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements, maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs, and modifications.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to support broader aircraft maintenance, including coordination with inspections, engine repairs, and airframe modifications.

Work Environment

The role is based in an FAA-certified repair station that provides maintenance and inspections, including major avionics upgrades, engine repairs, airframe modifications, and other maintenance services on civilian helicopter platforms. You will work hands-on around aircraft, avionics systems, and electrical components, using tools and equipment for wiring, crimping, testing, and troubleshooting. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in a professional hangar and shop environment that follows strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Croydon, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
