What You'll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care for NICU and newborn patients
• Attend high-risk deliveries and conduct car seat testing
• Manage all diagnoses related to NICU and well-baby care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care activities thoroughly and accurately
• Respond to emergency situations and support unit relief as assigned
• Adapt to unit needs, including occasional floating to postpartum/peds units

What You Need

• Required: Valid Louisiana RN license, BLS, NRP, CPI certifications; minimum 2 years NICU or newborn experience; Epic EHR system experience
• Preferred: Experience working in high-risk neonatal settings; willing to work holiday shifts; adaptable to emergency team assignments

About the Assignment
This unit staff works closely with NICU and newborn nursery teams, attending high-risk deliveries, conducting assessments, and handling diagnoses for both NICU and well babies. The unit expects staff to participate in emergency response teams when needed, with details communicated during each event. The team is committed to providing excellent patient care and supporting staff throughout the assignment.
