This is a PRN shift opportunity.At Baptist Health, a Emergency Department Technician plays a vital role in supporting physicians and nurses by delivering high-quality patient care within the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs, collecting specimens, assisting with patient transport, and maintaining a safe, efficient care environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and thrives under pressure.As a Emergency Department Technician, you will be responsible for:Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living.Maintaining a safe environment.Collecting lab specimens.Intake and Output monitoring.Electronic medical record documentation.Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.This Emergency Department Technician will be located in our Emergency Room at Baptist South.
