Applications Sales Engineer

American-Marsh Pumps is seeking a technically minded, customer-focused Sales Applications Engineer to join our team in Collierville, Tennessee. This role is ideal for an engineering professional who enjoys combining technical problem-solving with customer support and sales.

As a Sales Applications Engineer, you will work closely with customers and our outside sales team to identify application requirements, select appropriate pump equipment, prepare quotations, and provide technical support throughout the sales process.

What You'll Do

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding pumps, parts, and accessories.
• Select and specify pumps and related equipment using pump selection software.
• Prepare technical quotations, proposals, and submittals based on customer requirements.
• Coordinate new orders for pump equipment and assemblies.
• Troubleshoot application and operational issues with customers and end users.
• Provide technical assistance across the American-Marsh product portfolio.
• Support outside sales representatives with equipment selection, quoting, and customer relationships.
• Review engineering specifications and bid requirements for proposed equipment.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 2–5 years of related experience preferred; pump selection or application experience is a plus.
• Entry-level engineering candidates with strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused, team-oriented approach with a positive attitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer-based selection tools, business systems, and email.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer deadlines.
• Experience with centrifugal pumps, positive-displacement pumps, mechanical seals, or rotating equipment is a plus.
• Experience supporting industrial, municipal, commercial, or mining applications is preferred.
