Power Infrastructure Delivery Technical Program Manager Location: San Francisco, CA, USA Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in technical program or project management within the energy, utility, or power infrastructure industry. 7 years of experience leading to the delivery of electrical infrastructure, such as substations, transmission and distribution, or utility projects. 5 years of experience navigating energy regulatory frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NERC, FERC, NEC, or NESC). 5 years of experience in hybrid infrastructure environments (HV-MV-LV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), power generation and smarter grid solutions. Preferred qualifications Licensed or Chartered Professional Engineer (PE) status or an equivalent professional engineering certification. 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience in the design, commissioning, or operation of industrial power generation facilities (>10MW) and related electrical generator principles. Track record managing large-scale third-party developers and external utility partners to secure connection agreements and regulatory approvals. Knowledge of data center topologies and the ability to mitigate supply chain constraints through predictive modeling and risk-adjusted delivery milestones. As a Power Infrastructure Delivery Technical Program Manager (TPgM), you will serve as the primary driver for the delivery of power solutions that fuel Google’s global data center fleet. Working within the Power Infrastructure Strategy team, you will navigate the entire project lifecycle from preliminary due diligence and campus-level design to construction and final operational handover. You will act as the technical and strategic bridge between internal engineering teams and external utility partners, ensuring that our infrastructure is resilient, adaptive, and compliant with complex regulatory frameworks like North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Your leadership will be pivotal in integrating advanced technologies, such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and high-voltage substations, to meet the rapidly evolving power demands of our next-generation infrastructure. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$278,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
