Registered Nurse - Dialysis

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and apheresis treatments within a high-acuity medical-surgical and critical care environment. This role involves managing acutely ill patients, monitoring telemetry, and supporting treatment procedures around the clock.

Responsibilities:

• Administer dialysis and apheresis treatments in accordance with established protocols and patient needs.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, telemetry, and overall condition during treatments to ensure safety and stability.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and respond to emergent patient needs promptly.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the electronic medical record.
• Assist in patient education regarding dialysis procedures, care, and post-treatment instructions.
• Float between multiple campuses as required, ensuring consistent, quality patient care across locations.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Successfully pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed).
• Possess minimum 1-year recent experience in dialysis, critical care, or medical-surgical nursing.
• Complete third-party education verification; degree from non-fraud list institutions accepted.
• Exhibit ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, with floating capability.
