Sr AI/ML Engineer - Hartford

Salary: $120,100 - 214,500 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree, or 4+ years of equivalent software engineering experience
• We require 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• We require 2+ years of hands-on experience building, deploying, and supporting AI/ML systems in production
• We require 2+ years of enterprise application development experience, including API integrations and microservices architectures
• We require practical experience with generative AI models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, or agentic workflow frameworks
• We require authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored visa sponsorship
• A masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• Experience with model evaluation, performance monitoring, and MLOps practices is preferred
• Experience working with distributed or offshore teams is preferred
• Strong understanding of sales and distribution systems or enterprise platform integrations is preferred
• Familiarity with enterprise AI governance, Responsible AI principles, and security/compliance requirements is preferred
• Proven problem-solving ability and the skill to translate business needs into technical solutions is preferred
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments are preferred

• We design, build, and deploy AI-enabled solutions to solve complex business challenges with a strong focus on responsible AI
• We use enterprise-approved AI tools to improve workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement
• We assess emerging trends to shape solution architecture and support strategic innovation
• We contribute to AI-enabled solutions for Sales and Distribution modernization across employer, broker, and enrollment ecosystems
• We develop scalable components for sales workflows, distribution platforms, API integrations, and automation pipelines, including AI-driven and agentic workflows
• We create and deploy machine learning models, generative AI solutions, and RAG-based systems that strengthen sales intelligence, efficiency, and decision-making
• We support system performance, reliability, scalability, model evaluation, and monitoring
• We ensure compliance with Responsible AI principles, governance standards, and security requirements
• We collaborate with cross-functional and offshore teams, take part in design and code reviews, and help deliver high-quality work within project scope
