Quality Engineer II

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Engineer II for a Contract with a client in San Diego, CA. This role will lead quality improvement projects, investigate non-conformances, and support product development through risk management, verification, and validation activities.


Rate Range: $40/Hour to $45/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Quality Engineer II Responsibilities include:

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of process controls, CAPA systems, and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and business requirements.
• Drive product and process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve product and process non-conformances while implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Support product development activities through risk analysis, verification and validation, and quality engineering oversight.
• Monitor and analyze critical quality parameters (CTQs), conduct process optimization studies, and document experimental results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971 requirements while driving continuous quality improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field required; Master's Degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device industry.
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971, with hands-on experience using quality tools, CAPA, and risk management methodologies.
• Experience leading process improvement initiatives utilizing Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and statistical analysis techniques.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
